One of the elements children need to get a hang of in Grade 10 Art & Design is “landscape drawing”.
It is very hard to imagine a landscape from within classrooms. So, some of our Art teacher and another high school teacher took this group of students up the hill adjacent to our campus teacher to work on landscape drawing.
Once they reached the top, one of our teachers, who also accompanied them, started the class with a song, ' Lovely June '. Apt for such a glorious morning in June!
How could spirits not be uplifted and creativity not flow in such a setting... A moment in the march of time... a moment suspended under the grey drifting clouds and the rock of ages below! The students settled down to draw from Nature, till it was time to climb down and go back to school.
